“Equal Justice Under Law” is in severe jeopardy

John Broderick and Martha Minow describe how funding cuts to civil legal assistance will affect the most vulnerable people in the country and communities. See: http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/blogs/the_angle/2011/04/budget_cuts_thr.html

Humanists in the legal profession should take what they say as a call to action: "As deans and teachers of law students, we urge our students to carry on the vision of “equal justice under law.” This founding value should not be left on the cutting-room floor."
